How matching works
You deserve to know why you're seeing these recommendations.
VibeCraft's matching system was built around a simple idea: the companies we recommend should be the companies we believe are a strong fit for your wedding, not the companies that paid the most to be there.
Unlike a traditional advertising-driven directory, VibeCraft compares what you're looking for with the information and evidence available about entertainment companies that can reasonably serve your wedding.
Our goal isn't to show you the most companies. It's to help show you the right ones.
Matching isn't an ad auction.
Organic placement in VibeCraft recommendations is not purchased.
A company cannot buy the #1 organic match. Advertising spend, sponsorships, or purchasing a more expensive VibeCraft product should not transform a poor fit into the best organic recommendation.
If VibeCraft ever introduces sponsored placements in Marketplace, those placements will be clearly identified as sponsored and visually distinguishable from organic Vibe Match recommendations.
Companies that use other VibeCraft products aren't held back either. Paid products may allow a company to give VibeCraft richer, more complete or more current information, and better information can improve our ability to understand whether a company is genuinely a fit. But payment itself is not the organic matching factor.
What VibeCraft considers
The signals behind a recommendation.
01
What you're looking for
When making recommendations, VibeCraft first considers what matters to the couple: the services and enhancements identified as important to the wedding, along with other experiences the couple is interested in exploring.
The closer a company's documented capabilities align with what you've told VibeCraft you want, the stronger that aspect of the fit. Some of what you share helps personalize your experience or helps recommended companies understand your vision without changing rankings today.
02
Your venue
Experience at your specific venue can matter when reliable information is available, and VibeCraft may consider evidence that a company has worked there before.
Venue experience is one part of matching. A company doesn't automatically become a poor match simply because it hasn't previously worked at that exact venue.
03
Location
VibeCraft considers whether a company reasonably serves the area where your wedding will take place.
Location helps establish whether a recommendation makes practical sense in the first place.
04
The quality of the information
VibeCraft distinguishes between confirmed information, reliable evidence, incomplete information and information we simply don't have.
We don't want to pretend we know something we don't. If we haven't confirmed that a company offers a particular enhancement, that doesn't mean they don't offer it. It means we don't know yet, and that affects how confidently we can explain a recommendation.
05
Reputation & trust
Reputation can be considered using meaningful current evidence, such as credible customer feedback and other reliable indicators.
Reputation is more than a lifetime review count. A long-established company isn't automatically superior because it accumulated more reviews over many years, and a newer company isn't automatically better because its smaller set of reviews is recent. The goal is to interpret reputation as evidence, not treat one number as the answer.
06
The complete picture
No single factor is intended to tell the whole story. VibeCraft looks across relevant information to understand overall fit.
The result should tell you why VibeCraft matched you and, where information is incomplete, what's still worth confirming.
Unknown doesn't mean no.
Wedding companies don't all publish information the same way, and VibeCraft's information will never be perfectly complete. If we haven't verified something, we'd rather tell you than quietly make an assumption.
Confirmed
We have reliable information supporting it.
Unknown
We don't have enough reliable information yet.
Not offered
Reliable information indicates the company does not offer it.
A match and our confidence in that match aren't exactly the same thing.
Two companies might both appear compatible with what you want. But VibeCraft may have substantially more reliable information about one of them than the other.
Confidence reflects how much trustworthy information we have available to support a recommendation.
Incomplete information doesn't mean a bad company. It means VibeCraft should be more careful about how confidently it describes the match.
For entertainment companies
If you're a DJ company, transparency applies to you too.
We want entertainment companies to understand how VibeCraft matching works. The best way to help VibeCraft understand when your company is genuinely right for a wedding is simple: give us accurate information.
- Keep your capabilities current.
- Represent your service area honestly.
- Help us verify what you offer.
- Keep your company information complete.
Better information helps VibeCraft make better decisions about when a company genuinely fits what a couple is looking for.
There is no legitimate shortcut for turning a poor fit into the best organic match.
A note on what we don't publish
Transparency doesn't require publishing every internal implementation detail. VibeCraft does not publicly disclose exact formulas, numeric weights, thresholds, anti-manipulation systems or internal fallback logic, because doing so would make the matching system easier to game. We explain what influences recommendations and why, not a recipe for manipulating them.
We'd rather explain the match than ask you totrust a black box.
Wedding recommendations can influence one of the biggest celebrations of someone's life. We believe couples deserve to understand why a company was recommended, what information supported that recommendation, and where information is still incomplete.
That's the standard we're building VibeCraft's matching system around.
